What We Are Learning: November 2024
Math
- We will solve addition and subtraction story problems using the "counting on" and "counting back" methods.
- We will learn about 2D shapes in Geometry.
Literacy
- We will read nonfiction books to learn interesting facts.
- We will gather facts and write paragraphs about the Sun, Moon, and Stars.
Social Studies
- We will keep practicing how to be good citizens at home, in school, and in our community.
Science
- We will learn about the Sun, Moon, and Stars!
Important Dates
- November 1: There is no school because of Diwali.
- November 5: There is no school for Election Day.
- November 7: It will be a half day of school, and we will have parent-teacher conferences.
- November 11: There is no school for Veteran’s Day.
- November 15: There will be a Parent Association meeting and a Family Fun Event.
- November 28 and 29: There is no school for Thanksgiving break.
