What We Are Learning: February 2025

Math

  • Measurement!
    • We will measure lengths using different units.
    • We will compare objects that are different sizes.
  • We will continue to work on counting and writing our numbers up to 120!

Literacy

  • We will compare fiction and nonfiction books.
  • We will read different versions of Fairy Tales and learn about character traits. 

Social Studies

  • Food Unit: Where does our food come from?
  • What are Wants and Needs? 
  • Students preparing for Socktober
  • First day of school class photo
  • Students working at their desks
  • Students making butter
  • Students exploring math manipulatives
  • Students wearing pajamas on Pajama Day

  • February 7: Parent Association Meeting and Scholastic Book Fair
  • February 8: Scholastic Book Fair
  • February 17 to 21: Mid-Winter Break - No School

Home Connection

  • Please be sure that your child comes to school with a warm coat. We go outside for recess almost every day.
