What We Are Learning: April 2025

Math

  • Place Value
    • We will learn how to use place value to add and subtract 2-digit numbers all the way up to 100!
    • We will continue to use the DEW strategy to solve story problems. 

Literacy

  • We will finish up our Fairy Tales unit by writing our own Fairy Tales. 
  • We will study Author’s Craft to see how authors use speech bubbles, sound words, and more to help us understand stories.

Science

  • We will learn how plants and animals use their structures to help them survive. 
  • Students preparing for Socktober
  • First day of school class photo

  • Students making butter
  • Students exploring math manipulatives
  • Students wearing pajamas on Pajama Day

  • April 9: Climate Action Day: Health/Wellness
  • April 14 - April 18: Spring Recess, School Closed
  • April 25: Parent Association Meeting & Family Fun Event at 6 PM
