Home Connection
- After reading a book with your child each night, help your child retell all of the important events (in example, what happened in the beginning, middle and end –or facts in a book, if it is a non-fiction piece) to help their comprehension and oral language. Take time to also ask them questions that help them draw conclusions and/or make inferences (see below for details).
- LEXIA: an online resource that your child can use to build their literacy skills. If you are unsure on how to login, ask your child’s teacher for more information.
- Please also take advantage of KidsA-Z.com. *Accessible by computer, phone or tablet*

- Please check your child’s pockets and backpacks for toys before dropping them off in the morning and help support our no toys at school promise. Note: toys are NOT allowed in the after school program either.
- Look inside your child’s homework folder every night for important information and completed classwork. Gentle reminder, clean the folders out every weekend.
- Please keep your child home from school if they wake up with a fever, diarrhea, persistent cough or sore throat as this helps to minimize the spread of illnesses in our classrooms.
