Math Words
Skip counting: Counting forwards or backwards by a number other than 1 (example: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 )
Repeated Addition: Adding equal groups (3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 15)
Third grade students are learning about equal groups and arrays. One example of an array is 3 rows and 5 columns, which looks like this:
This means there are 3 groups with 5 items in each group.
